A really stunning mixed media piece created from a section of a type case / wooden printmakers tray. The wood has a lovely warm, silky aged patina. I have waxed the wood to protect the finish.

This piece contains crosiers (the curled young fronds) , gold painted fronds and paintings set in several layers of resin. The resin protects the ferns and creates depth and shadows. Bearing in mind each layer of resin needs two days to dry, these pieces take quite some time to make.

I have grown all of the ferns in my garden.

This piece is signed on the back. It can be hung on the wall with the triangular brass fitting.

Dimensions: 20cm wide, 28cm high(inc handle), 3.5cm deep.
