A Secret Hive mixed media assemblage piece created inside a beautiful vintage burr wood box. The wood has a lovely smooth, aged patina.
Hiding inside I have created a little secret hive with handmade paper honeycomb and two little bees which I have made from felt, thread and wire. The 'honey' is made from dyed resin.
The quote by Victor Hugo reads 'Life is the flower for which love is the honey'
This piece is signed and numbered on the back.The box when closed measures: 9.5 x 12cm and 5cm deeep.
